Acxiom
Acxiom approached Busse Design USA to redesign their existing “sales rep emailer” desktop application. The goal was to make it more user-centered and tailored to their client’s branding guidelines. I designed the application interface to reflect the client’s identity while ensuring it was visually intuitive for sales representatives to use from day one.
ACXIOM
Client: Acxiom
Role: UI Designer
Year: 2010
SCOPE
The project involved designing the visual skin and layouts for both the main interface and tutorial pages of Acxiom’s desktop “sales rep emailer” application. A key challenge was aligning the design with Acxiom’s client-specific branding while maintaining clarity and ease of use for a broad user base.
PROCESS
At Busse Design USA, I typically began with a wireframe—sometimes contributing to its creation, but most often serving as the visual designer responsible for final execution. Because not all clients could fully visualize the product at the wireframe stage, I often refined layouts to present clearer, more intuitive visual options.

For this project, our team of three designers developed high-fidelity design directions. After the kickoff meeting, we strategized to present three distinct concepts for client review. One designer served as the design director and assigned each of us a direction. We iterated based on client feedback and, once approved, prepared final delivery assets.

I frequently managed multiple projects simultaneously. For Acxiom, I contributed throughout—from early design exploration to the creation of final templates and production-ready assets.
PROJECT IMPACT
The redesigned interface helped Acxiom deliver a more intuitive, brand-aligned experience for sales representatives—reducing onboarding friction and improving usability from day one. By contributing to a clear, client-specific design system, I supported Acxiom’s goal of making their desktop application more accessible, visually coherent, and user-centered.
SUMMARY
Busse Design USA was my first full-time role after interning at a few design studios. I joined as a junior visual designer and grew into a design associate, contributing high-fidelity mockups and delivering final products across a range of client projects.

Looking back, I’m grateful for the growth I experienced at Busse. I had the opportunity to work with both established corporations and early-stage startups, collaborating closely with talented UX and visual designers. These experiences shaped my approach to design—balancing clarity, adaptability, and cultural nuance across diverse industries.
